 My interest in fiber arts began as a young child when my grandmother taught me to knit, In the 1970's when living in Newton, MA. I went to a meeting of spinners and dyers and that just wet my appetite for this creative form. I went from a drop spindle to a spinning wheel, than to a table loom, and inkle loom and finally to a floor loom. I love the mathematics of weaving. Beginning with planning the design or pattern, then figuring how wide and how long a piece will be, it's not always a simple process. I love using colors and sometimes dye the wool from the sheep I raise. From start to finish, I make lovely vests, jackets, scarves, blankets and more.
